LCB Senior Living, LLC (LCB) owns and operates The Residences at Boylston Place, an independent and assisted living community located in Chestnut Hill, Mass. LCB also acquired an empty adjacent building that was once a skilled nursing facility.

South Coast Improvement Company (SCIC) was hired to redeveloped this former skilled nursing facility into luxury assist living apartments and Memory Care wing.

The redevelopment of the 60,000 square feet facility occurred while the facility was half-occupied. Phasing was performed for the interior renovations on occupied corridors and the first floor. Additionally, SCIC connect all corridors to combine the two buildings.

Since the as-builts did not match the existing conditions, it made it imperative to have hands on coordination with both the MEP and the Architect. This collaboration allowed us to work with the existing plumbing systems and around existing infrastructure to seamlessly run new HVAC throughout the building.
