Established in 1998 by Tom Quinlan, South Coast Improvement Company brings its trademark preparedness, professionalism and experience to every project. For more than a decade prior to starting South Coast Improvement Company, Tom worked his way up in the construction business, from a part-time laborer as a college student to running major renovations at Boston University’s historic brownstones, including Myles Standish Hall and Shelton Hall. Tom went on to manage projects for Harvard Planning and Real Estate and traveled extensively to Russia, Poland and Mexico as a consultant to manufacturers of construction materials.
More than 80% of South Coast Improvement Company’s portfolio includes the demanding area of occupied renovations in senior living and senior healthcare. The company also works extensively with many Boston area colleges, universities and private schools.
In 2010, due to the demand of New England clients with Mid-Atlantic projects, South Coast Improvement Company opened an office in Reading, PA. The Mid-Atlantic office is headed by Eric Hancock, who worked in the New England office for several years and brings the South Coast Improvement Company systems, philosophies and standards to a new region of the US.
South Coast Improvement Company continues to secure its place as a leader in senior living and healthcare construction services alongside a strong education portfolio and a growing retail and hospitality service, working with local and national chains.
