South Coast was hired to provide interior renovation of an existing medical office space within a fully occupied medical building during COVID-19. This new space was designed as SPEC medical office space for a new tenant.

The project consisted of:

• All New Wall Configurations, Doors, and Hardware (Sliding Door System)
• Millwork, ACT, Glass, Specialty Finishes, Flooring, and Paint
• Complete MEP Upgrades
• New Bathrooms

A challenge we faced during this renovation was working within the existing conditions of a fully operational medical facility. Our work was performed while active offices were open and conducting business. This required coordination and rerouting of the plumbing for new bathrooms.

All work took place during the pandemic with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols while continuing to meet the aggressive seven-week schedule.

We were able to overcome this challenge with early team engagement from the owner and the architect. MEP’s design-build approach served well for all parties.
