According to the National Kidney Foundation website, kidney disease affects an estimated 37 million in the U.S. Many of those patients need kidney dialysis treatment. Fresenius Kidney Care’s construction of a treatment center will go a long way towards providing that care for dialysis patients. South Coast Improvement Company (SCIC) began work on the 16-bed dialysis center in December 2020.
The 16-bed dialysis center includes construction of:
- Isolation room-a room with negative air pressure–to isolate patients with a contagious disease
- Staff support offices
- Water treatment room
- New mechanical electrical and plumbing system and a full generator
SCIC finished work in September 2021.
