South Coast Improvement Company Rings In A New School Year For Northeastern University With Campus Upgrades

Sep 28, 2016 | News

Northeastern University students have returned to school, and will enjoy upgrades designed to enhance their studies and student life on campus. South Coast Improvement Company has been working with Northeastern University to perform renovations in three different buildings including student housing on St. Stephen Street, Dana Hall, and Snell Library.

Dana Hall offices were fully refinished with everything from new lighting and paint to new doors and flooring. A new reception desk was installed and the space was completely transformed for a fresh start to the year for many Faculty members.

Additionally, the South Coast team performed a complete fit out of a basement inside of a dormitory building on St Stephen Street. The finished basement included new flooring, paint, lighting fixtures and required upgraded electrical and HVAC systems. It now is a common lounge for all resident students in the property- a brand new feature that will connect students in the house and provide a safe and enjoyable environment during downtime for the students throughout the year.

South Coast Improvement Company worked at the Snell Library while simultaneously working at Dana Hall and St Stephen Street. The Library is a 200,000 square foot building, and housed over two million visitors in 2015. The team performed corridor and common room upgrades among the entire second floor. Overlay skimming was applied to CMU walls for a finished look, carpet was replaced, and electrical upgrades were made. These same renovations were performed in the first floor lobby of the library.

The South Coast team has forged a strong relationship with Northeastern University over the years and looks to continue working with this institution on game-changing renovations across the campus for years to come.
