Sarah Murphy
Director of Safety
Sarah oversees the Company Health and Safety Program. This includes development, implementation, and execution of South Coast Improvement’s risk management goals. She works closely with all departments to ensure best possible safety practices. Sarah communicates with the production department to identify project specific safety considerations unique to each project. Sarah regularly conducts onsite safety checks, working closely with Site Superintendents and subcontractors. As the primary liaison for public health concerns, Sarah implements current CDC guidelines as they pertain to workplace safety. Prior to joining South Coast in 2017, Sarah practiced as a Registered Nurse. Having worked directly with Alzheimer’s patients and their caretakers in clinical research setting for two years gives her a unique understanding to working in and near memory care units. Sarah holds a BA in Sociology & Psychology from Middlebury College and an AD in Nursing from Bristol Community College. She enjoys quality time with her family, horseback riding, and involvement with Helping Hands and Hooves Therapeutic Riding Association. OSHA 30 Certified. OSHA 510 Pending Certification.
