The Mendes Monteiro House is a beacon of community support and comfort for seniors in Massachusetts.
Hired by Partners in Housing to construct the Mendes-Monteiro House in North Dartmouth, MA. The project entails the construction of a 4-bedroom congregate housing group home and 6 one-bedroom independent living units, complete with associated site and landscape work.
Originally designed in 2018 with six units, the project expanded to a 7,600-sq.-ft., single-story building featuring four independent apartments for seniors and a communal living area with four separate bedrooms. This layout accommodates seniors requiring varying care levels, promoting community engagement and independence. The building includes amenities like a sensory meeting room for art projects, fully accessible bathrooms, covered porches, and a design that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding residential area. The project stands out as the first development in Dartmouth to address the increasing need for tailored
housing for seniors with mental health challenges.
We continue to bring our experience, professionalism, and client-focused approach to the Affordable Housing sector. The Mendes Monteiro House is a beacon of community support and comfort for seniors in Massachusetts.
