A thoughtfully executed renovation that enhances resident safety, comfort, and quality of life while preserving the integrity of affordable housing in Holyoke.

We partnered with Holyoke Housing Authority (HHA) to deliver a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation of the H.J. Toepfert Apartments. The project revitalized key residential areas, improved safety, energy efficiency, and long-term durability. Modernizing both the living spaces and building systems, this renovation ensures a comfortable, functional, and welcoming environment for residents for years to come.

Project Highlights:

Exterior Improvements: Façade enhancements and exterior structural repairs were completed to strengthen the building envelope and improve overall curb appeal. Work included concrete and sealant repairs on porches and stairs, ensuring long-term safety and durability for residents and visitors.

MEP Upgrades: Comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing improvements enhanced energy efficiency and system reliability. Upgrades included new electrical panels, light fixtures, wiring, ventilation, and ductwork to support modern building standards.

Heating & Utility Enhancements: New baseboard heating systems were installed throughout the apartments. Piping was also added for in-unit washer and dryer hookups, increasing convenience and quality of life for residents.

Interior Renovations: Fully updated kitchens and bathrooms modernized each unit with new cabinets, solid surface shower panels, and updated flooring. Fresh paint throughout completed the transformation  creating refreshed living spaces that meet today’s standards of comfort and style.

Strategic Execution & Coordination: Through close coordination with HHA management, work was carefully phased and scheduled to minimize disruption to residents and staff. We maintained a safety-first approach and ensuring consistent communication and smooth project delivery.
