South Coast Improvement, Co. Wins Olmsted Place Memory Care Unit Renovation Project at Goddard House

Oct 10, 2018 | News

South Coast Improvement Company (SCI), a design-build general contractor serving New England and the Mid-Atlantic states, was recently awarded a $500,000 project to renovate Olmsted Place, the Memory Care Unit at Goddard House Assisted Living at 165 Chestnut Street in Brookline, Mass. SCI was hired for this project by Senior Living Residences (SLR).

Improvements to the Memory Care Unit, which houses the Olmsted Memory Support program, will include: new paint, wallpaper, and flooring throughout the corridors and many common areas; new lighting in the corridors and common areas; new cabinets and solid surfaces in four kitchens in the Unit.

Additionally, the project will include: full gut and renovation of the salon; exterior deck work.

“For every project we undertake, particularly at assisted living facilities, we put processes in place to minimize disruption to residences. With memory care units, those processes receive even more attention. There is no such thing as overcommunication with staff and management at the facility. It’s probably the reason why we count SLR as one of our repeat clients, because of the work we do and how we work,” said Tom Quinlan, president of South Coast Improvement.
